OPPORTUNITY 

We are seeking a Business Development Director to market the community and achieve occupancy goals.  The successful candidate will develop and oversee processes to maximize admissions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the 30/60/90 sales and marketing plan. (working in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Representative where applicable)
  • Close sales from home, hospital discharge planners, and physician referrals.
  • Develop and implement plans to increase referrals from current and new sources.
  • Provide market intelligence to the community and use this knowledge to obtain occupancy goals.
  • Obtain a working knowledge of the marketing and program development strategies of the medical community and other Long Term Care providers.
  • Assist in the development of new products and services based on referral source needs.
  • Provide discharge planners with timely assessments and answers to the acceptance of referrals.
  • Provide physicians and other key members of the medical community with information regarding the programs offered at the community in order to gain referrals.
  • Provide the nursing staff/community with an accurate assessment (clinical and financial) of the potential Residents, including all documentation needed.
  • Collaborate with hospitals and physicians to accommodate Residents in the community environment.
  • Visit Residents during hospital stays.
  • Ensure quality customer service to the Residents, families, and staff the department serves.
  • Assume responsibility for department compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate regulations.

Qualifications

  • Senior Living or healthcare sales experienced preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • LPN or RN degree a plus.
  • Able to follow and give written and oral direction.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrate dependability, cooperation, and interest in the care of the elderly.
  • Display leadership qualities, good communication skills, and a desire to continuously learn.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with personnel, Residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Pass background check before and during employment, as defined by Christian Horizons’ background check policy, with no disqualifications by committing or attempting to commit one or more of the offenses defined within.
