    We are seeking a Development Communication Coordinator to create and manage print collateral, graphic design initiatives, social media and Development’s pages on the corporate and community websites. The Development Communication Coordinator will operate in accordance with the overall mission, vision and values of Christian Horizons (CH) and is responsible for maintaining high ethical standards and personal integrity.

     

    This is a Part Time position 25 hrs per week. The ideal candidate can live in Lincoln, IL or St. Louis, MO. area.

    Responsibilities

    • Write and design both print versions and electronic versions of newsletters and news blasts for all CH communities.
    • Write, design and format all Development appeal letters.
    • Works with Development’s Project Coordinator to determine criteria for appeal letters.
    • Write and design both print version and electronic version of CH annual report.
    • Write and design both print versions and electronic versions of employee “This is Who We Are” stories.
    • Create and manage Christian Horizons’ and community websites pages that pertain to Development fundraising.
    • Involvement with other corporate and community events as coordinated with the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Development.
    • Create and manage “Giving Tuesday” social media platforms for all CH communities.
    • Post events, “Giving Tuesday” and other fundraisers to CH and community Facebook pages.
    • Write and design Development brochures (Amazing Grace, Capital campaigns, Memorial, Volunteer, etc.).
    • Solicit artwork from community residents and design CH and community annual Christmas cards.
    • Write and design invitations and programs for annual community Friends and Family banquets and volunteer banquets.
    • Take community photographs and video/edit as needed.
    • Regular meetings with the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Development for the purpose of brand consistency in marketing.
    • Prepare presentations for leadership and marketing conferences, Administrator calls, Board meetings, etc., as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Vice President of Development.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree in communications and/ or graphic arts with a minimum of three years of professional experience as a creative writer and graphic designer.
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including In-Design, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
    • Strong writing skills.
    • Strong Social Media background.
    • Web design and photography experience is preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft including Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Microsoft programs.
    • Personal belief in mission, goals and objectives of CHI.
    • Demonstrates personal integrity.
    • Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills with the ability to multi-task, manage and prioritize multiple projects, and work independently and collaboratively.
    • Motivated individual; a reliable self-starter.
